Artist StatementAlice is a visual artist working in a variety of media. Partington is fascinated by the concept of creation, and the boundless possibilities that stem from being able to express ideas, emotions, and narratives visually. She values how much can be explored and understood through creating or experiencing Art. The artist’s work ranges over a variety of topics and messages, but all are expressed through experimental and analytical pieces. Alice highly values the process of creating her pieces, and enjoys expanding her work into different media and learning new technical skills. With her pieces, the artist wishes to communicate her ideas, opinions, and message to the viewer; she finds joy in the opportunity to limitlessly express herself while exploring the technical, aesthetic, and communicative qualities of Fine Art.

Manifesto
My work is important to me as it is my passion. It allows me to express myself and communicate my ideas and values to the world freely. I want people to see my work and consider its meaning. Most of my pieces invite the viewer to reconsider their perceptions on the topic I discuss. I want people to view my work and reconsider their views and open their mind to the ideas and thoughts I present within my work.Creative endeavors also an outlet for me to explore anxiety and the world investigate with curiosity. Through intentional reflection of my experiences and perspectives, I enjoy tackling and reshaping my understandings of reality; deepening my outlook through the joy of creative expression.I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy and explore their own creativity. I think that we should work towards creating a more equal and loving society, where everyone is more considerate of other people. I particularly think that more knowledge and further understanding of different types of people and different people’s situations should be spread to create a kinder and more empathetic world. It is imperative that within media, all types of situations, people and cultures are represented in order to promote equality and encourage compassion.
